About Me & My Mission

What exactly is a Gender Affirmation Navigator, and what role do I play in our community?

As a trans elder, I pair my raw, real-life experience with an academic foundation in psychology to empower my community. My insight is forged through decades of personal transition - from navigating complex medical gatekeeping and major surgical complications, to managing the emotional weight of social alignment. I am deeply committed to this calling because the level of community care and resources simply did not exist when I needed it most. I hold a profound duty to my community to ensure that those who come after me never face this kind of isolation alone. I offer a steady hand to those facing similar milestones, drawing from a road I have already paved. While Gender Affirmation Navigator is a modern title, the lineage of community care is ancient. I am simply stepping into a protective role that our trancestors have anchored for generations

In my work fostering this affirmation initiative, I function as a non-medical professional offering heartfelt peer support, advocacy, and guidance. I serve as a vital, trustworthy bridge between you and the intricate healthcare, mental health, and social systems. It would be my honor to ground you in community, clear away systemic obstacles, and walk the path with you as you blossom into the best version of yourself.

About my logo:

My logo centers the lotus flower to represent organic growth and identity. The transgender symbol is blooming from the flower as an inherent part of its structure. The visible roots are anchored in depth and connection, representing the journey of grounding oneself in community. Even in muddy waters, the lotus rises to blossom- reflecting our community's resilience, transformation, and resolute path forward.

I believe that financial barriers should never stand between an individual and safe, life-affirming guidance. Whether you are trans or currently questioning your identity, I utilize the Green Bottle sliding scale to ensure my advocacy, system navigation and peer support remain accessible to everyone seeking alignment. It is my fundamental belief that no one will ever be turned away from these services for a lack of ability to pay.

My sliding scale operates on mutual accountability and trust. I will never ask you to submit proof of finances; instead, we will open a collaborative discussion to find a tier fee that is genuinely achievable for your budget.

In return, I expect honesty and transparency. If your financial situation shifts-whether it improves or becomes more difficult-during our time working together, I simply ask that you let me know.We can always adjust your tier to ensure you stay fully supported, while keeping these slots open for community members currently facing systematic hurdles.

A: There is no single, correct way to identify as trans, and there is no such thing as being "trans enough". This question is a powerful catalyst. Tuning into your life story takes patience.
